Living History Days
Step back in the past and find out what life was like for those living during the industrial revolution and the Victorian era
Wild Minds
Nature and well-being education days.
What was it like to work at the height of the industrial revolution? Why were canals so important? What was all the fuss about coal? How did a blast furnace actually work? What was it like to live in an old blast furnace in the Victorian era?
These living history days aim to answer all these questions and more. Our staff and volunteers will help your class live like a Victorian, experience life on a canal barge, tour the museum to find out how iron was made, and go back in time with some lovely characters from the furnaces past.
